WHO? I’m B Jane Levine and I live in the northeast of the United States. I grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey, a short bus ride from New York City. I trained as a biochemist to be an observer and a practitioner of a rigorous scientific practice. I left research behind in order to give more attention to the needs of my family and after a few years and some personal hardships, I took an interest in photography and began taking classes at International Center of Photography.

WHEN? Whenever I’m sick of sitting in front of a computer, I like taking my camera outside. Because I don’t need to concentrate on anything else when taking pictures, I feel relaxed. I don’t plan on shooting photos as I believe the best moments always happen when we expect less.
Interview with Jenna Mulhall-Brereton
WHO? I’m Jenna Mulhall-Brereton, a photographer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the US. Born in Ireland to an Irish father and an American mother, I have lived in the US since I was an infant.
I was captivated by documentary photography from a very young age but didn’t seriously pick up a camera until my mid-20s. Photography has been a big part of my life these past 25 years.

WHO? I am Ilan Ben Yehuda from the city of Ramat Gan in Israel. For a living, I do graphic design for the fashion industry. I studied film photography (black and white) about 25 years ago at Camera Obscura in Tel Aviv. About 12 years ago I started photographing intensively on the street.

WHO? I am Cecilia Guerrero (aka CegroGuerrero), born in central Mexico. I am the daughter of a single mother and would have liked to also be my father’s daughter. I can imagine myself in a small town near the mountains. Every day I think about what my life could be like had he not rejected me at birth. And so I build fragments of myself in images, through the lives of others.
