WHO?
Hi! I’m Laura Fontaine. I was born and raised in Bologna, Italy then moved to the US in 1998 and have been living in the NYC for the past 16 years.
Back in 2013, photography fell on my lap and it’s been the most invigorating, strenuous, daunting, exhilarating and soul searching personal and professional path I could ever ask for and one which I do not intend to abandon.
WHAT?
I am sharing photos from summer teenage life at the beach in Italy. There are no commitments and no schedules, just pure enjoyment of summer weather and time spent with friends.
WHEN?
It’s an ongoing project that I shoot every summer when in Italy visiting family and friends.
WHERE?
It’s a super small town called Porto Verde, in Emilia Romagna, a North Eastern region of Italy.
WHY?
It’s refreshing given our hectic urban lives and it’s a way to relive moments of no responsibilities.
