WHO?
I was born in one of the most visually interesting suburbs of the chaotic capital of Greece. I like long walks and believing that nothing’s ever as it seems. I’m constantly searching for stillness in everything; for some sort of calmness that probably can’t be noticed at first sight.
WHERE?
I always have a bunch of compact analog cameras in my backpack wherever I go, but the majority of my pictures are taken in Athens, Greece. As Daido Moriyama said once “I can’t photograph anything without a city”.
WHEN?
Mostly at night time because the city appears more vibrant, I also like the straightforwardness of the flash. I believe that every city looks completely different at night, and way more attractive.
WHAT?
Anything that appears to me out of the ordinary or even extremely ordinary and boring in a way. Most of the times after I get my pictures developed I tend to dislike the ones I thought that would have been my favorites. I get inspired by movies, books and I try to take pictures that can easily create endless different stories in the mind of the viewer.
WHY?
I believe that you start learning more about the world but also about yourself if you’re constantly shooting. Taking pictures is a way of communicating your feelings without having to be good at words.
