WHO?
My name is David Root and I live in Oakland, California. I got into photography in 2012 when I started to take photos of the funny/odd things I would see while working in San Francisco.
WHAT?
I take candid photos, and I’m usually on the lookout for things or people that are kinda out of the ordinary or maybe a little off-center.
WHEN?
Three or four days a week, I go for walks in the afternoon and take photos until the sun goes down. Generally, I carry a camera with me when I leave my place.
WHERE?
Downtown San Francisco around Mid-Market and Union Square.
WHY?
Photography gave me this new way of seeing and appreciating the world. Now I feel like I’m missing out if I’m not out there.
