I have always loved the books of Arnold Mindell, and when I started getting into street photography, his book “Dreammaker’s Apprentice” was my favorite one. The name of the book perfectly mirrored how I felt when I wandered around with my camera, searching for I don’t know what.

Once an adult, I lived in England and Romania on different occasions, and have been living in Paris, France the last 19 years. After having studied business administration and marketing I have been working at non photography related jobs throughout my professional life.

WHO? I’m Nicolas, or Nico to my friends, and I live in Paris, France. Photographically, I’m old school. I owe my first photographic emotions to Henri Cartier-Bresson and Martin Parr. Then came hundreds of others. I’d say my major influences at the moment are Lee Friedlander, Lars Tunbjork and Jason Eskenazi’s “Wonderland”, which is a bit like a bedside book.
