WHO?
Hello. I am Nazile Bolat. I work at a private company as a financial advisor. Also, I am one of the founding members of @womeninstreetturkey.
Until 2014, I was taking only souvenir photos. In 2014, I became a member of a photography club on the recommendation of a friend. After taking nature photos for about two years, I went on a different quest. In this process, I met street photography.
WHAT?
While I am watching people in the dynamic structure of the street, I lose myself in the world. To try something new, be in the moment, and to be led by the light excites me.
WHEN?
I always carry a camera in my bag. I throw myself into the street at every opportunity and weather condition.
WHERE?
I live in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. I often find reasons to take pictures in the city I live in, the village where I was born and raised, and other cities I travel to. I look at the images that are normal for the people living in the village, but actually extraordinary, and I think that they are like suprrises which are prepared only for me.
WHY?
In a world where everything is constantly changing, the satisfaction of capturing the moment —when a fragile balance is formed by including my intuition in what I see—has led me to become passionately attached to street photography.
