Born in Moscow. In 1986-1987, Igor Mukhin attended classes in the Art Photo Studio of of Alexander Lapin. His retrospective exhibitions have taken place in the State Russian Museum (2003), Festival RussenKo. Le Kremlin-Bicètre. France (2013), ROSFOTO State museum and exhibition center, St. Petersburg (2016), Multimedia Arth Muzee, Moscow (2017). Author’s books : “Avoir 20 ans a Moscou”. Igor Mukhin’s work has been featured in State Tretyakov gallery, Museum Moscow House of Photography, Moscow, The Museum of Modern Art (New York, USA), The Corcoran Gallery of Art (Washington D.C.), The Norton and Nancy Dodge Collection of Nonconformist Art from the Soviet Union Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum (Rutgers, State University of New Jersey, USA), Museum of Fine Art (Santa Fe, USA), Fonds National d’Art Contemporian (FNAC. Paris), Wien Museum, Vienna and others. He teaches at the Moscow A. Rodchenko school of photography & multimedia.
